Why map hundreds of my photos? 

Why not!  Maybe I'll see patterns over time, or perhaps this will be useful for locals or visitors to Victoria to discover some new views of the city they've never seen before.  Street View is terrible for getting a sense of an area for so many reasons, although to match their coverage in photos I'll have to live to 273.  Probably longer.

Already I've noticed that I should really expand upon my normal walking routine as there are many wonderful neighbourhoods I've barely explored.  Now I have the challenge of personally filling in the gaps while exploring the great unknown.  Kind of like mapping the bottom of the ocean floor, or the surface of Mars - not hyperbole at all eh..  Think about it though, how well do you really know your own city; how many of its streets have you walked?
