Context
The developer Northland Properties is owned by Bob Gaglardi. The company has 12,000 employees in five counties and own several restaurant and hotel chains, construction and real estate firms. They also own the Dallas Stars of the NHL, the AHL's Texas Stars and the Kamloops Blazers of the WHL.
Prior to being demolished 2706 Government St was home to a Japanese restaurant Chiba Sushi and back in the 1930's and several decades after was home to a gas station.
