Site was known for decades as Blanshard Court which opened in 1970 with 184 affordable homes on 7.8 acres bordered by Blanshard and Bay Streets and Hillside Avenue.
This building is the first of 9 as part of the master plan, which envisions 900 units in buildings ranging from 6 to 20 storeys with an anticipated build out of 10-20 years.

April 2026 - Project approved, first phase of construction likely to begin by summer 2026. The City is considering a Delegated Development Variance Permit application received on February 26, 2026 to allow for subdivision. "This DDV would permit the existing buildings to "straddle" the new and intended property line created by Subdivision. This "straddlle" would only exist for the present buildings. Once they are demolished, the new buildings are to "fit" in the subdivision as created."
